Charles Mintzer, DVM
Dr. Mintzer earned his Veterinary degree at Cornell University, specializing in dermatology and geriatrics. He lives is Los Alamitos with his wife, Leslie, his young daughter, Charlotte, and his son, Sam.
Dr. Mintzer also has a Golden Retriever, a Bichon, 2 cats and a Cockatiel at home. When he's not in the office or spending time with his family, Dr. Mintzer enjoys sports of all kinds, with an emphasis on golf.

Diane Lovingood, Practice Manager
Diane manages the daily operations of the hospital and employees, while making sure the hospital runs smoothly and efficiently. Her goal is to travel the world, experience lots of good times with her family and husband and to be the best person she can be.
She enjoys spending time with her family & husband, playing various sports like, baseball, basketball, tennis, biking and hiking. Diane likes to attend sporting events, church and playing games with her family. Her hobbies are compiling photo albums and home videos for herself and family, home improvement projects and working here at Pet Medical Center.

Patient Care
Sarah manages many of the tasks required to keep the hospital running smoothly, as well as assisting as a Technician when needed. Sarah's goal is to continue her education and eventually work as an equine technician. She is in her 4th year of study as an Animal Health Science Major.
Sarah loves to ride horses and has been doing so for ten years, in addition to team roping for the past seven years. Her interests also include music, singing, dancing, reading, writing, cooking and spending time with her new husband and family.

D. Michael Ramos, Patient Care
Michael's goal is to complete his B.S. in Animal Science and then continue his education by pursuing a doctorate in veterinary medicine. He enjoys music and fine arts, going to comedy shows and concerts.
Michael plays the piano and saxophone. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his 1 year old boxer named "Bailey".

Nicole Grant, Patient Care
Nicole's goal is to complete her degree and work with in the field of animal rescue. Her interests include animals, art, music and the beach. Nicole enjoys hiking, horseback riding, drawing, concerts and photography.
She has two dogs named "Cody", a German Shepherd, and she also has a Rat Terrier named "Indy". Her family also includes three cats named "Sasha", "Spunky" and "Chester".
Jessica Shaw, Patient Care
Jessica's goal is to work with horses and own a boarding & training facility. Her interests include performance animals, pit bulls, and canine behavior training. She horseback rides, rock climbs, collects knives, camps, reads and enjoys a good cup of coffee.
Jessica has two cats, "Otis" & "Gizmo" and a horse named "Whiskey Girl" with whom she spends all her free time.
Vanessa Kerkhoff, Patient Care
Vanessa wants to someday work with large wild animals. She enjoys going out with her friends, going to the beach, Starbucks and eating. Vanessa says shopping is her best remedy for stress relief in addition to working and helping animals.
She has the best little boy ever, her orange kitty named "Satan"! Vanessa also has "Lucifer", her female cat, and two dogs named "Thor" & "Meskid".

Dominique Valencia, Patient Care
Dominique's goal is to study veterinary medicine in Manila, Philippines & ultimately work with endangered African Cheetahs in Africa. She is interested in World Travel, exotic foods, extreme sports and reading.
In addition, Dominique enjoys triathlon training, snowboarding, and practicing her guitar & piano. She loves playing with her five cats named "Ichabod Crane", "Hoosier", "Thom Boy", "Succotash" & "Old Man Shadow".

Joelle Rodriquez, Patient Care
Joelle's goal is to graduate and start her career as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She is a big fan of Justin Timberlake, loves animals, makeup, shopping and road trips.
Joelle also enjoys dancing, laughing, eating, concerts, drawing, browsing the net and playing with her cats, "Hef" and "Holly".

Jennifer Leos, Patient Care
Jennifer performs a wide variety of Technician duties ranging from assisting Dr. Mintzer with treatment procedures to assisting with dental cleanings. She has earned two A.A. degrees from College of the Canyons -- one in Music and another in Veterinary Technology.
Her long term goal is to complete a Bachelor's program in Biology and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys music, reading for pleasure, exercise when the mood strikes her, fine arts and literature. She also loves performing and playing video games. Jennifer has three cats named "Skitter", "Kudo", and "Cozy".

Deeann Baros, Client Relations
Deeann is one of the first people you will meet at our clinic. She answers the phones, greets you as you arrive, makes sure files are complete, and in general, helps to keep things running smoothly.
Her goal is to be a good mother and wife, and raise her kids to be the best in all that they do and to reach for the sky. There is no limit to what they can achieve. She enjoys making photo albums, attending church, devoting her time to the youth choir and taking care of her pets. She has a Rottweiler named "Kitana", Pit Bulls named "Etta" & "Gambino" and a Chi X named "Blue".

Karen Fernandes, Client Relations
Karen is an "animal person" with a large pet household to maintain. Her role as a Client Relations professional keeps her busy during the day, and her own animals, children and grandchildren keep her busy the rest of the time.
Karen has over 10 years experience working in veterinary hospitals. One of her roles is to counsel pet owners as needed, when they must deal with the stress of a pet's severe illness or grief over the loss of a pet. She says she has learned a lot about animals, but knows there is always more to learn.

Brandy Gagliardi , Client Relations
Brandy performs many tasks at the front desk which include working on monthly promotions and posting each pet's picture in the computer files. Brandy is working on her B.S. in Correctional Science and her goal is to become a juvenile probation officer.
She loves animals and has three dogs -- "Big Paw", "Cookie" and "Shorty". Brandy also has 20 fish, a Bearded Dragon named "Spike" and a frog named "Frogger". She loves spending time with her four children and helping at-risk kids.

Matris Ward Lewis, Front Office Manager
Matris is the newest staff member of Pet Medical Center. She will make sure our front office runs smoothly and efficiently while marketing our practice to generate new business. Her interests are theater arts, music, surging, the Internet, health & beauty, stocks, and both local & national current events. Matris also enjoys walking, biking, reading, watching movies, dining out, shopping, and collecting Coach products.
